When Does the Market Open?

You can easily check the market open and close times for any trading instrument directly in your MT4 or MT5 terminal on Windows PC.

To check market hours:

1. Open your MT4 or MT5 platform.

2. Press Ctrl + M to open the Market Watch window.

3. Right-click on any symbol (e.g., EURUSD) and select Symbols.

4. The details will appear. Scroll down to Sessions.

5. The trading hours (market open and close times) for that symbol will be displayed.

How to View Market Watch in MT5 (Mobile)

To view Market Watch in the MT5 mobile app, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the MT5 mobile application.

2. Go to Quotes.

3. Tap on your preferred currency pair.

4. Select Properties.

Quotes vs Trade

• Quotes time – The market is providing price updates, but you cannot open new trades during this period. It’s essentially the price feed only.

• Trade time – This is when the symbol is open for trading, and you can place new orders.

It is recommended to place trades during Trade time only.
