A symbol suffix is a letter added after an instrument’s name, indicating which trading account the instrument is being traded on. Suffixes vary depending on the account type and trading server.
| Account Type | Platform | Suffix | Notes & Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micro Account | MT4 & MT5 | m | Instruments on the Micro server use the m suffix. Open new positions with symbols including the m suffix (e.g., USDJPYm, XAUUSDm). |
| Rookie (Cent) / Trading Pro Account | MT4 & MT5 | c | Instruments on the new server use the c suffix. Symbols without c are restricted to close-only. Open new positions with symbols including the c suffix (e.g., USDJPYc, XAUUSDc). |
| Pro Account | MT4 & MT5 | None | No suffix is required. Open positions directly without adding any suffix. |
| ScalpX Account | MT4 & MT5 | None | No suffix is required. Open positions directly without adding any suffix. |
